CHAPTER ACTIVITIES FROM THE DATE OF ITS INSTALLATION.

Karwar Kadal Jaycees was inaugurated on 17^th August 2003 by the august hands of JCI.SEN.Lokesh Pergade. It was a dream come true to Jaycee family. Jc.S.Sandhya took charge as the Founder President of Karwar Kadal Jaycees and Jc.Santosh Bandikatte was made the Secretary of the Chapter.  Shri: V.S.Saxena was the  Chief Guest of the function.

1     In the beginning, Orientation for the members of Karwar Kadal Jaycees was conducted by our Senior Trainer Jc. Mohammad Anwar from Bangalore.

2     On the 8^th September 2003 we organized  Best Computer Gamer 03 Competition for the students of Karwar. More than 55 school and college students participated in it and won prizes. This was an effort to find good gamers in computer and also to activate the Jaycee activity in and around Karwar.  The competition was a five day Public Relation Programme.  Shri: Y.Sadashiv, Rtd: Deputy Commissioner gave away the prizes to the winners of the competition.

3     On 24^th September 2003 we organized a Training Programme for the Degree students of Govt. Arts and Science college Karwar, & the members of Karwar Kadal Jaycees. More than 80 Students participated and took the benefit of the training programme. Trainer Jc.Yellappa Shetty conducted the Training for three hours.  The Subject chosen was Memory Technicks for the students of college.  This was a very effective training programme.

5.  On the 26^th September 2003 Karwar Kadal Jaycees registered itself for the participation during the Zone Conference  of Zone XV that  was held at Puttur.

6.              For the National Conference that was held at Mangalore, 8 members of our chapter have registered and participated actively.  They are, as follows;

Jc.S.Sandhya, Jc. Santosh Bandikatte, Jc. Sampada Kurdekar, Jc. Sudesh Naik, Jc.Sandeep G.Naik, Jc.Yogesh Pawaskar, Jc. Rajesh Vernekar and Jc. Divya Jyothi.

7.  On November 8^th, training was conducted on the topic,  Health and Hygiene for the Anganwadi workers and the self help group of rural area people  in and around Karwar. The Karwar Kadal Jaycees and the K.U.I.D.F.C jointly arranged this programme.  The trainer during this programme was Shri: Y.Sadashiv Retd: Deputy Commissioner Karwar, Dr.M.R.Naik, District Immunization Officer, Karwar, Dr: Sadanand, Taluk Health Officer,Karwar.  More than 400 self help group volunteers participated in it and took the benefit of keeping themselves healthy and clean.

8.  On  18^th November 2003 Karwar Kadal Jaycees went ahead and opened a web site of our chapter url: http://www.ekarwar.com/jc. This was an effort to provide for the latest in information and technology, to have better communication with the Jaycees family of our Indian Jaycees. This web site is designed by our member, Jc.S.Shivshankar Deep , who is an Engineer  and this website provides all the information about Jaycees and about the activities of the Karwar Kadal Jaycees.  This for the first time in the history of  our District  that the jaycees chapter has opened a website.  All the credit goes to the Administrator/desinor of the website  and the members of Karwar Kadal Jaycees.

9.  President, Karwar Kadal Jaycees  actively participated in the LOTS (Lom Officers Training Programme) organized by the Kundapur Jaycees on 3^rd and 4^th of January 2003.

10.  President, Karwar Kadal Jaycees  actively participated in the  Presidential Acadamy  Organized by the Kundapur Jaycees on 10^th and 11^th of January 2003.

11. Karwar Kadal Jaycees Organized a Jaycee Family Night for all the members and their family.  This was an approach to make the j.c family members closer to know one another.  As a part of this programme many games were conducted.  Also the members had an opportunity to present their talent.  This was a good Public Relation programme and more than 50 members participated in it.

12. On 29^th January 2004, training on Women and Law was given to the students of the Govt: Arts and Science College Karwar.  Many Acts and Legislations on the women were delt by   Jc.S.Sandhya, Advocate & President Karwar Kadal Jaycees and Jc.Sampada Kurdekar, Advocate and Treasure Karwar Kadal Jaycees conducted this training  programme.  More than 80 students participated in it.  Question  raised on the legal aspect by the students were answered by the advocates.

Karwar Kadal Jaycees will do the best of its ability to prove itself as one of the best in Zone XV of Indian Jaycees.
